Modeling in Revit for Project1 in ARCH 689 class:
The modelling process has been a mix of emotions, from exciting to frustrating(towards the end). Having gone through the tutorials once made life relatively simple, but still as every project is unique, there were quite a few challanges and also quite a few moments where I wanted to pull out my hair. Towards the final day of submission it was like a fight between man and machine, where i wanted to make somehting and revit would give me something totally different....well not totally different but not what i asked for.
Parametric modelling:
This was the new thing i was going to do, I started off with an ambetious plan of having louveres that in which the intervals would be a parameter and based on the intervals the gaps would be filled by glass panes. I wasted almost one whole night, but in the end i had to give up on the glass and stay with just the louveres.
Revit:
Revit by itself is a real boon, but for people like me who find it difficult to get Autocad out of their heads, the good old "line" command is dearly missed at times.
